Manufacturer (product) warranty
Covers defects in the physical panel, inverter, or battery hardware itself — typically the longest-standing type of warranty in the industry, often around 25 years on premium panels.
Performance warranty
Guarantees the panels will continue producing above a specified percentage of their original rated output over time, protecting you against unusual degradation.
Workmanship warranty
Covers the quality of the installation itself — mounting, wiring, roof penetrations, and sealing — and is provided by the installer, not the equipment manufacturer. This is where installer reputation matters enormously.
